The number one consideration when choosing a Part D plan

A part D plan needs to include all of your medications. Each plan has its own list of drugs, known as the plan formulary. Many people assume that there is a universal Medicare Part D formulary for all plans. This is not the case.

Whether you require a basic formulary or an enhanced formulary is determined by the drugs you are required to take. Don’t make the mistake of choosing an inexpensive plan that does not include all of your medications.

When comparing Alabama Part D plans pay particular attention to the plan’s formulary. Also compare plans to see which plan includes a more favorable tier placement for any medications you are required to take. It’s important to choose wisely because Part D enrollment periods are few and far between.
